Sheep and sustainably grown food

Located in the NSW near Bungendore, Roogulli Farm is a small family farm producing mixed fruit and vegetables and breeding Shropshire and Babydoll sheep.
The sustainable landscape design for the Roogulli Farm gardens, while somewhat lapsed due to taking up sheep farming, has won a number of national awards and been featured in magazines and a book.

Our sheep

In our registered Babydoll and Shropshire flocks we breed smaller, neat sheep that are easy handling and produce meat and fibre. They are also popular as energy-efficient lawnmowers for vineyards, orchards and small farms.

We breed both white and coloured sheep. Our white Babydolls are dual registered as purebred Southdowns and come from long established Southdown bloodlines.

We will have white and coloured fleeces available from the end of 2023.

Purebred Babydoll ewe and lambs
Babydoll and Shropshire sheep breed on an annual cycle. We join our rams and ewes in early Autumn for lambing in early Spring. These lambs are weaned at the end of the year. We typically sell our sheep in Summer.

Hop onto our waitlist if you want to be notified when sheep are available.

Science of wicking beds

We have grown food in wicking beds for many years. Roogulli Farm has been used to research why and how wicking beds work in a university research project.
